Police are still trying to trace a Perth pensioner reported missing a month ago.
Robert McLaren disappeared from his home in Appin Terrace, Letham, on February 25, but it was later revealed that he had been spotted at the shops in Rannoch Road, Letham, around 8am on February 20.
Officers have said they have “significant concerns” for the 70-year-old.
Despite river bank searches taking place and police deploying a dog unit, there has been no sign of Mr McLaren.
Police have carried out house-to-house inquiries and also appealed for private CCTV as part of their search for the missing pensioner, and are urging any homes or businesses with cameras to come forward.
Mr McLaren, who suffers from diabetes, was wearing a black donkey jacket, a beige baseball cap with a white logo on the front, blue jeans or trousers and brown shoes when he was last seen.
He is 5t 7ins in height, of large build, with a pale complexion, and a balding head with short grey hair around the sides.
Mr McLaren has connections to the Coupar Angus area and is known to walk in the area of Jeanfield Road and the North Inch, Perth.
Police released a photograph of him taken outside the Corrina pub in Atholl Crescent, Perth in early March, in a bid to try to gain information on his whereabouts.
A police spokesperson told The Courier that officers are continuing to make inquiries into Mr McLaren’s disappearance and have liaised with his family regarding this.
“There have been river bank searches carried out thus far and all potential lines of inquiry are reviewed regularly,” he said.
“There are significant concerns for Robert’s welfare and anyone who knows him or has seen a man matching his description is asked to contact Police Scotland by phoning 101.”
