Karren Boult, 59, of Campsie Farm, Guildtown, has been found guilty of assault after driving her vehicle at a farm worker during an argument.
Boult rammed Stuart Kidd with her car at Upper Muirhall Farm on October 9 last year.
Mr Kidd’s wife Karen told Perth Sheriff Court: “She screamed at him to get out of the way and started revving up the car.
“The car suddenly shot forward, hit my husband and he staggered backward.”
Sheriff Kevin Veal heard that Mr Kidd suffered a swollen leg that turned black and blue with bruising after blood vessels burst underneath his kneecap.
The farm handyman had tried to intervene when Boult was shouting at his wife.
Mr Kidd added: “She was sitting in the car shouting and bawling at my wife, leaning out the window. I shouted at her saying ‘I want a word with you’. She put the car into gear and came forward then stopped.
“She then put her foot on the accelerator and came toward me, colliding with my legs.
“I think she may have tried to brake but was going too fast and hit my legs.
“She then put the car in reverse.
“She drove so erratically and so fast that there were clouds of dust coming up. She went round the corner at some speed. I don’t know how she managed to keep control.”
A charge that Boult acted in an aggressive manner was found not proven. She was found not guilty of driving in an aggressive manner, thus causing pedestrians on the roadway to take evasive action.
Sheriff Veal deferred sentence until next month for reports.
