Hollywood star Ewan McGregor’s childhood home is for sale.
The Perthshire house where he grew up with his mother Carole and father Jim is on the market with a guide price of £340,000.
Ewan lived there until he was 18, when he left to study drama at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
His parents who retired as teachers are moving to nearby Crieff, where they both taught at the exclusive private school Morrison’s Academy.
The actor, who has almost half-a-million followers on Instagram, posted the poignant message: “Childhood home up for sale in #bonniescotland.”
The modern three-bedroom bungalow has been extensively extended by the McGregors, who have an elder son, Colin, who is a former Tornado GR4 pilot in the Royal Air Force and fought in the Gulf War.
Estate agent Irving Geddes, handling the sale of the “attractive modern detached villa” in Ewlin, Keillour, said it has panoramic views across open countryside to the Ochil Hills
Mrs McGregor whose brother is Star Wars actor Denis Lawson confirmed they were not leaving the area: “Just moving to the town of Crieff.”
