Organisers of one of Perthshire’s largest sporting events have revealed the date for its 10th anniversary race.
Credited as the UK’s first closed-road sportive, the Marie Curie Etape Caledonia has established itself as a bucket list event within the cycling community.
The sportive is staged in Highland Perthshire starting and finishing in Pitlochry and will take place on May 8.
With fundraising an integral part of the event, many cyclists opt to take part in the 81-mile route on behalf of Marie Curie last year more than 1,000 people pedalled in aid of the charity, raising £300,000.
