An elderly married couple have been accused of stealing numerous items in a city centre shoplifting spree over several months.
The couple are alleged to have stolen from six stores around Perth between October and March.
George Keen and wife Mary, both 76, are alleged to have targeted stores including Debenhams and River Island.
Along with Lesley Whyte, 50, they faced a total of seven charges when the case called against them at Perth Sheriff Court.
The court was told the couple were on holiday and could not appear in person. The case against the three was continued without plea.
The Keens and Whyte are alleged to have stolen perfume from Debenhams on Perth High Street on October 25.
It is alleged they returned to the store on March 14 and carried out an identical crime, returning to Perth a week later and targeting five other stores in a day.
The Keens, of Larchfield Gardens, and Whyte, of St Leonard Terrace, all Dundee, are alleged to have stolen a pair of jeans and a top from River Island in the St John’s Shopping Centre.
They are alleged to have taken groceries from Poundland and items from Claire’s Accessories in the same shopping centre.
The trio are accused of stealing a pair of tights and a pair of shoes from Primark, High Street, and a kimono from Loretta’s Collections, Murray Street.
