Man in court over alleged spanner attack at care home

A man has appeared in court accused of attacking a woman with a spanner at a Perthshire care home.
David Murray denies allegations he caused a disturbance at the Birches in Crieff.
The 31-year-old Londoner is accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner when he shouted and swore at his ex-partner on November 14.
He is further accused of assaulting another woman at the care home and repeatedly striking her on the body, arm and hand with a spanner, to her injury. It is also alleged that Murray, of West Drayton, had an offensive weapon a spanner in the grounds of the care home.
Murray denies all charges and will stand trial next month.
