A teenager became ill after taking an ecstasy pill that had a photograph of a well-known character from a cult TV series, Perth Sheriff Court heard.
The 14-year-old paid Stefan Mortimer, 19, of Atholl Street, Perth, £20 for two tablets that had a picture of Heisenberg the alias of Walter White from Breaking Bad in the town’s Canal Street car park but then visited a ‘house’ party and took ill, leading to an ambulance and police turning up.
Mortimer was later found to have 80 of the tablets at his home and told police he had made £2,000 from selling the drugs.
Depute fiscal Chris McIntosh told the court the youth had met Mortimer in the car park around 7.30pm.
“The accused had a bag of pills that had a picture of Heisenberg from Breaking Bad on them,” he said.
“The teenager went to a house party in Perth after taking one pill but took ill. It was later discovered the pill was ecstasy.”
The court heard that police were on duty in Canal Street at 12.20am the next morning when they saw Mortimer who was making his way to the Zoo nightclub.
“The accused’s demeanour changed when he saw the officers and he tried to conceal himself in a crowd,” Mr McIntosh added.
“Police spoke to him and he appeared to be under the influence of something his pupils were dilated. Officers took him to Perth headquarters and found 16 tablets on him.
“The accused admitted selling the tablets to the 14-year-old and revealed he had made £2,000 profit from selling drugs.”
The court heard that his home was later searched and “various” drug paraphernalia was found, including scales and bags containing tablets. These were tested and found to be ecstasy.
In total, 80 tablets were found.
Mortimer admitted that between May 28 and June 28 at the Canal Street multi-storey car park, Perth, he was concerned in supplying ecstasy a class A drug to a 14-year-old boy.
Sentence was deferred until January 11 for background reports.
The character Walter White, pictured, is a chemistry teacher in Breaking Bad who discovers he has lung cancer and starts making crystal meth.
