Property experts point to ‘excellent’ summer sales

The Perthshire housing market has turned a corner, after property experts revealed they were boosted by summer sales.
Perthshire Solicitors Property Centre (PSPC) three-quarter-year statistics for 2015 show that September has been the best sales month of the year.
They also revealed that July, August and September have combined to produce the best summer season in years.
It is also becoming commonplace for homes to achieve their asking price a notable change in the market compared to previous years and properties are also selling more quickly than before.
Overall, the current position approaching the end of the third quarter of 2015 is on a par with 2014.
A total of 664 properties have been sold at an overall sales value of just over £118 million. The average property has sold for £178,603.
PSPC manager Anne Begg said: “Looking at last month alone, September was our best sales month of the year, having sold 105 properties in just one month, meaning that the third quarter of the year the summer, essentially was an excellent quarter overall.”
