A Perth man caught more than four times over the drink-drive limit has been banned for 40 months.
Gareth Davies, 35, Tulloch Place, overturned his car on the A822 Braco to Crieff Road on July 26 last year. He was spotted crawling out of the damaged vehicle by a witness.
He admitted driving after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his blood was 222 milligrammes in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeding the limit of 50 milligrammes.
Sheriff William Wood said: “This was clearly action of the most foolhardy type.”
Davies was also ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and to undergo supervision for 12 months.
