Two men who became involved in the supply of cocaine because of money worries have been jailed.
First-time offenders Austin Sievewright, 32, and Callum Keith, 51, were each caught with a quarter of a kilo of the class-A drug following a tip-off to police.
At Perth Sheriff Court on Monday, Sheriff Fiona Tait ordered them both to be detained for a period of 28 months.
Sievewright, of The Square, Methven, and Keith, of Strathmore Street, Perth, had earlier admitted being involved in the supply of the drug on February 27.
Solicitor Cliff Culley, defending Keith, said his client was short of funds due to difficulties with his business.
Rosie Scott, representing Sievewright, said he had run up gambling debts of £3,500 and was offered the chance to wipe £500 off the debt if he acted as a mule.
She said he was aware of the seriousness of his actions but had not been aware of the contents of the package.
Depute fiscal Carol White told the court that the potential street value of the cocaine was £25,000.
