St Johnstone legend Jim Weir has signed up to strip in a charity Full Monty.
The 44-year-old agreed to support the event, which is being organised by fundraiser Alan Glynn, after hearing about it in his local gym.
He will also endure his first marathon when he runs at Loch Ness for Meningitis Now, a charity Mr Glynn has supported since his 19-month-old daughter died of the disease three years ago.
However, the former Saints skipper, who went on to manage Montrose, Arbroath and Brechin, said there was no chance of him revealing all, despite the name of the event.
He said: “How far I’m going I don’t know but I won’t be going all the way, that’s for sure. I’ll probably be stripping down to my underwear.
“I don’t know how I feel about it as I’ve never done it before.
“I’ve been involved in a fashion show where I was down to a pair of shorts so I’ll try and see it as a piece of swimwear and that will get me through.
“Either that or two or three vodkas will be taken beforehand.”
