Pig’halle Restaurant owners ‘thrilled’ by Michelin Red Guide mention
ByRichard Burdge
Pig’halle Restaurant is Perth city centre’s only new addition to the acclaimed Michelin Red Guide, which has just launched its online edition for the coming year.
The entry is a first for restaurateurs Herve and Paula Tabourel, who own the South Street eaterie. Pig’halle’s entry sees it fall into the “charming restaurants” category.
The Tabourels are well known on the Perth restaurant scene, having opened and sold a series of successful businesses, all of which continue to thrive under new ownership.
Caf Tabou, Briezh and Sante Wine and Tapas Bar were all start-ups by the pair, who came to Perth in 1998.
It is only now though, with their concept of French brasserie, Mediterranean restaurant and deli, they have received the Michelin Guide recognition.
Mr Tabourel said: “We are all thrilled by this achievement and it means so much to have had our hard work recognised by Michelin.”
