The annual chilli festival provided some spicy treats as the crowds flocked to Scone Palace over the weekend.
The highlight of both days of the Awesome Scottish Braves Chilli Festival was the now-famous chilli-eating contest, presented by Chilli Dave of the Clifton Chilli Club.
Visitors took a break from sampling the chilli chutneys and curries to see the bravest or most foolhardy attempt to eat chillies of varying strengths.
Not for the faint hearted, or for those with a sensitive stomach, competitors had to endure eating 15 of the hottest chillies in the world.
Returning champ Linda Richford proved too hot to handle for the competition and triumphed for the third year in a row on Saturday.
Linda revealed she had kept up her training regime by testing her tastebuds with the hottest foods she could find to ensure she kept her crown.
As well as a focus on local and artisan food, there was live music and tango demonstrations to add another spicy option for visitors to experience.
There was also a vast array of chilli-based exhibitors, including Allan’s Chilli Products, which exhibited hot chilli sauces and jellies, chilli sauces from Spice of Fife and chilli jams from Lone Star Chilli.
