A second aircraft could soon be helping Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance save even more lives thanks to a lottery.
A fundraising scheme is set to provide the organisation with the finances required to see a second charity aircraft take flight.
Taking inspiration from charities south of the border, SCAA is set to launch a national lottery scheme which could raise in the region of £1 million a year.
Chief executive Gavin Davey said: “We see this project as providing a substantial income stream for us, enabling us to operate for a very long time.
“There are charity air ambulances in England that have been in existence for 10 years who bring in a million pounds a year through their lottery schemes.
“We can roll this out across Scotland, where the response to our charity has already been fantastic.”
Players will be able to sign up to the weekly lottery from September 23.
