A Perthshire doctor has admitted he had a sexual relationship with a “vulnerable” patient.
Dr Christopher Holden, who qualified as a doctor at Dundee University, is facing a panel on fitness to practise charges brought by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.
The doctor practised in Killin between 1999 and October 2012, when he engaged in Facebook chat and sent text messages, some including sexual references, to the woman.
He also admitted visiting the woman at home and asking her to come into the Killin surgery, even though she had made an appointment that day to see another GP.
He also admitted that on one occasion he visited the woman’s home, knowing she was distressed.
The panel also heard he offered to write a medical note to the woman enabling her to stay off work and admitted that separate visits to the woman’s home were sexually motivated.
The panel also heard that Dr Holden sent text messages to a female colleague, and made comments about her perfume and personal appearance.
Dr Holden further admitted making comments to another female work colleague, saying: “Your husband is such a lucky man he needs to hold on to you” and “you are a beautiful person inside and out”.
The tribunal, heard before Professor Stephen Miller, continues.
