Fine for Alloa man caught with amphetamine at T in the Park
ByThe Courier Reporter
A man caught with amphetamine at last year’s T in the Park music festival has been fined £450.
James Calder, of 41 Hillcrest Drive, Alloa, was found with 4.7g of the class B drug on July 12 at Strathallan Estate, Auchterarder. Depute fiscal Tina Dickie told the court that the drugs were at first mistaken for cocaine.
Solicitor David Holmes stated that when asked if he had any drugs, Calder volunteered the information that he had the amphetamine, valued at around £50, in his possession.
Sheriff Fiona Tait said the fine took into account the limited quantity of amphetamine and the fact Calder had a previous conviction for drugs on his record.
