Man who had indecent child images must tell police of any new friends

A housing officer who downloaded child abuse images has been banned from making new friends without telling the police.
Stephen Thomson has also been ordered to install police spy software on his computer so they can monitor what material he is viewing online.
Thomson, 54, admitted having a hoard of illicit images and two video files at his home on Burleigh Road, Milnathort, between June 2013 and June 2014.
He was made subject of a five-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order at Perth Sheriff Court, ordered to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work and for three years has to report “any new acquaintances” to police if they are involved with children.
