Police are calling for help finding two would-be thieves who tried to steal money from a payphone.
The pair were spotted trying to access the cash box of the kiosk in the early hours of yesterday morning at Perth bus station.
Although the ambitious duo took along cordless machinery to drill into the secure unit, they fled empty-handed.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers in Perth are seeking assistance in identifying two males who attempted to steal money at about 1am on February 3 from a payphone kiosk at the bus station on Leonard Street.”
The first suspect is described as being a white male, of medium build and around 5ft 10in tall, wearing black clothing.
The second is also described as being a white male, of slim build and is around 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a dark top with white patches under the arms, light trousers and black shoes.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 or talk to any officer.
