Methven park was officially reopened on Saturday following a £226,000 revamp.
Actor Ralph Riach, best known for playing TV John in Hamish Macbeth, cut the ribbon on the King George’s Jubilee Park, which is celebrating the 80th anniversary of its inauguration.
Play equipment, which was originally installed in the 1990s, has been replaced and a number of new features added, including noticeboards featuring QR codes and Braille.
Alan Lewis, of the Methven Park Committee, said: “This has been a three-year project and the total cost amounted to over £226,000.
“This has been raised from a contribution by G S Brown as part of the planning consent in relation to the new housing, a £10,000 grant from Perth and Kinross Council and a massive grant from The Big Lottery of £183,000.”
