A live music extravaganza which raised crucial funds for Perth Autism Support has been hailed another triumph by organisers.
The annual Battle of the Bands competition, now in its third year, drew crowds to the Corinna nightspot in Perth.
The city’s own Mexican Empire was hailed the winner at the end of the evening, with The NSA and Melophobia in second and third place respectively.
Song of the night went to The Guilty Habit for their cover of chart hit Bang Bang.
Judge Pete Wishart, who was keyboard player in Runrig before entering the world of politics, said: “Perth Autism Support’s Battle of the Bands is one of my favourite events of the year.
“It is always great to see so many fine local bands and all in a fantastic cause. There is always a really high standard and a great time is had by all who attend.
“As a former professional musician it’s always good to see what’s going on among up and coming bands in the music scene around Perth,” Mr Wishart added.
