The Perth City Campus project is aiming to broaden learning options for young people by launching a new website.

Since 2012, Perth and Kinross Council has been working with the city’s four secondary schools and Perth College UHI to develop the project to increase access to a wider range of Higher and Advanced Higher courses.

Senior pupils at Perth Academy, Perth Grammar School, Perth High School and St John’s Academy are now choosing their courses for study in sixth year.

The new Perth City Campus website will have details of all the courses available for the 2014/15 school session, including online studies run through Perth College UHI and the Open University.

Council leader Ian Miller said it marked “a fresh approach to opening up the scope of learning” for senior pupils.

He added: “Through collaboration between schools and with our partner organisations, young people can now access a greater range of courses and gain from wider opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills.”
