Judith and Ron Gillies of Cairn o Mohr winery relax with Paul Hollywood between takes.
A Perthshire winery is to feature in a new show starring Great British Bake Off star Paul Hollywood.
A unique wine made especially for Pies and Puds by Cairn o’ Mohr winery in Errol will feature on the programme. Owner Ron Gillies and his wife Judith made the trip to London to deliver the special meadowsweet blend to the studio.
A TV crew visited the winery last month to film the wine being made.
Ron said: “We had a great time down at the BBC kitchen studio with Paul Hollywood.
“The set was in a town house in Wimbledon, with the celebrity chef using a variety of the Cairn o’ Mohr wines in some of his fruit tarts for his new series Paul Hollywood’s Pies and Puds.
“It has to be said that there was more going down our throats than there was into the tarts as Paul was really enjoying them,” Ron went on.
“In fact, he was raving about our fruit wines, particularly the strawberry and elderberry. He tried the citrus, too, which he said went straight to his boots.”
