A man has been jailed after being caught with more than £2,000 of drugs.
Alexander McIntyre was found with a tub and several bags filled with white powder when police raided his home in Lismore Court, Perth, after receiving a tip-off.
The 40-year-old told officers that the drugs belonged to him and not his brother, with whom he shared a room.
Depute fiscal Rebecca Kynaston told that court: “Alexander said under caution ‘any drugs in here are mine’ as he pointed to a bag of white powder.”
She added that the bags contained a mix of cocaine, amphetamine and benzocaine and that based on a top estimate of £50 per gram, the haul was worth £2,100.
McIntyre was convicted of being concerned in the supply of cocaine at Perth’s Lismore Court on August 1 last year.
Sheriff Fiona Tait jailed him for 200 days and ordered the confiscation of £230 found within the house during the raid.
