A policeman is behind bars after being convicted of raping a woman he met on a dating website.
Khalid Anwar, 40, from Edinburgh, was found guilty of the attack following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
His 44-year-old victim told a jury she was raped after having consensual sex with Anwar four times that day.
Anwar raped the woman at a property in Tillicoultry in 2011.
He was remanded pending sentencing on October 23 and was told it is likely that he will be jailed.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the court that, despite having consensual sex with Anwar four times, she had not consented a fifth time.
The court also heard about text messages exchanged between the pair after the attack.
One sent by the woman included the words: “I’m annoyed you carried on when I asked you not to…”
Anwar replied that the woman had “enjoyed it, but in a painful way”.
As well as the sex attack, Anwar was convicted of engaging in a course of conduct that left the woman in “fear and alarm”.
The court heard he had sent text messages to his victim threatening to pin up naked pictures of her at work and on her street.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register.
