Aberfeldy author’s tale of success at World Jampionships
ByThe Courier Reporter
Aberfeldy woman Irene Cattanach was stunned when she learned that she had found success at this year’s World Jampionships.
Appropriately Irene, herself a grandmother, is the author of the children’s book Grandma Nelly: Tales from Jam Jar Land but admitted the title didn’t reflect any past glory in the making of preserves.
She was a first-time entrant in the event, whose winners were announced at the Dundee Flower and Food Festival.
And it was only when she went to collect her entries from the Ballathie House Hotel where the judging took place that she realised she had been awarded two silver prizes.
