A convicted drug dealer has been fined £1,000 after being caught trying to enter last summer’s T in the Park with cocaine.
William Fraser, 52, of West Cottage, Dingwall, pled guilty at Perth Sheriff Court to being in possession of cocaine on July 12.
Sheriff Lindsay Foulis heard that Fraser had been travelling to T in the Park in a car, and that the drugs were found next to him when the vehicle was stopped and searched.
Fraser’s solicitor said he had not intended to take the drug into the festival and it was for the journey home. The accused had been jailed for three years in 2006 for drug dealing.
Sheriff Lindsay Foulis said the fine reflected the drug conviction already on Fraser’s record.
