Motorists are being advised that overnight roadworks on the M90 Friarton Bridge will take place this weekend.
New installations of mesh lining require to be carried out and other minor repairs will also be completed on the bridge, which is used my more than 35,000 vehicles per day.
The works are scheduled to take place between 7.30pm and 6.30am, beginning on the southbound carriageway on Saturday and then moving to the northbound road on Sunday.
One lane will be closed to traffic whilst the work takes place.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east unit representative, said: “These improvements will help ensure Friarton Bridge continues to operate safely and efficiently.”
“The maintenance works have been scheduled to take place overnight to minimise disruption to road users, however we would encourage motorists to check Traffic Scotland’s website for up to date travel information before their journey.”
