Police say they are no longer looking for anyone in relation to allegations of theft from a house in Crieff earlier this week.
It had been reported that a “brazen” thief had entered a house in Pittenzie Street and refused to leave before taking money.
However, on Thursday a statement said: “Police Scotland can confirm that enquiries into an alleged theft from an address in Pittenzie Street, Crieff, on Tuesday are complete and officers are no longer looking for anyone in connection with the incident.
“Officers continue to engage with the complainer to ensure that, if required, she has appropriate support.”
