Man dies after being crushed by car on Perthshire farm

A 55-year-old man has died after being crushed under a car at a farm near a Perthshire village.
Emergency services attended at the farm near Killin when the man became trapped at about 6.20pm on Wednesday evening.
Firefighters provided emergency care as they struggled to save the man’s life while waiting for paramedics to arrive.
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) at Perth was scrambled to attend the scene and the victim was airlifted to Ninewells for treatment.
A police spokesman said he later succumbed to his injuries.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We received a call from the ambulance service around 6.20pm requesting our attendance at a farm near Killin following a report that a man was trapped under a car.
“A crew from Killin Fire Station was first to reach the scene and they found the man had already been removed from beneath the vehicle.
“Firefighters provided emergency casualty care until paramedics arrived.
“An air ambulance then flew him to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.”
