T in the Park organisers face having to hold new public consultation on Strathallan plan
ByJamie Buchan
Council chiefs are demanding more information from T in the Park organisers before they can rule on the controversial move to Strathallan Castle.
Festival bosses want to move the music spectacular from Balado in time for this summer’s festival, but Perth and Kinross Council says it needs to hold a second public consultation exercise, to run for 28 days, once the new details have been submitted.
It is understood that the move will not cause a fatal delay for the festival, but the local authority is unable to say when a final decision will be made.
The festival is due to go ahead at the 1,000-acre Strathallan Estate in the middle of July. Tickets went on sale last week.
