Warhammer enthusiast fulfils dream to open Perth store

A fantasy board game enthusiast has been putting the finishing touches to his first store.
Scott Irvine has been a fan of the popular Warhammer series since the age of 12.
And now, after several attempts to work for other branches, he is preparing to open his own shop in Perth city centre.
Scott, 23, said he had dreamt of becoming the manager of a Warhammer store but had failed to land the job despite four interviews over three years.
Undeterred, Scott got advice from Business Gateway’s Start Up Workshop and put together a plan for his own outlet.
The new store opens in Perth’s Scott Street on Saturday morning.
“I though about what I’d done wrong in previous interviews and aimed to improve,” he said. “Armed with a business plan and the quiet confidence I gained from the workshop, I pitched to the company, giving examples of what I would do and how I would benefit them.
“I think I’m an example of what can happen if you don’t give up on your goals,” he said.
