Six men and one woman were charged with drugs offences at the weekend following an alcohol, drugs and antisocial behaviour initiative in Perth.
Led by the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit with support from Perth’s Community Investigation Unit and police dog unit, class A drugs with an estimated illicit value of almost £1,500 were recovered in separate incidents on Friday night.
Officers were working with licensed premises in the city to detect and deter criminal and antisocial behaviour.
Sergeant Pete Mustard said: “We want to send a clear message that taking drugs into our local communities, pubs and clubs, will not be tolerated, you will be caught and you will be charged.”
