A Dundee car dealership and its owner are accused of operating without a second-hand goods licence and failing to keep records.
Charles Sandeman, of Glencross Motors, is accused of carrying out business as a dealer in second-hand goods at Braehead Road, Invergowrie, without having a required licence between June 16 and June 25 last year.
It is alleged that Glencross Motors, between January 20 and June 4 2014, carried out business as a registration plate supplier despite not being registered to do so.
It is further alleged that between June 4 2011 and January 19 last year at Glencross Motors, Charles Sandeman, as a registration plate supplier, failed to keep a record of each sale of a registration plate.
Meanwhile, as part of the same complaint, it is also alleged that on May 13 2014 William Handy, 53, of Middlebank Holding, Errol, drove a car without insurance and fraudulently used a registration mark on the A90 Perth to Dundee road.
Handy is also accused of pretending to two officers that he was an employee of Glencross Motors and was covered by their motor insurance policy in order to avoid prosecution and pervert the course of justice, on the same date and location.
Sheriff Alastair Brown continued the case until February with a further intermediate hearing a week today.
