The first Perth Farmers’ Market of the year took place at the weekend.
The popular event returned on Saturday after taking a short break over the festive season. More than 40 stalls were set up in King Edward Street, boasting a wide range of local and Scottish produce.
Broughty Ferry-based supplier, the Whisky Sauce Co, set up shop in Perth for the first time, selling a variety of sweet and savoury sauces.
Market manager Adeline Watson said: “Last year saw an increase in stall numbers and also in consistent footfall. Despite the challenging retail situation affecting everyone, we intend to maintain this upward trend.”
Meanwhile, personal trainer Steve Bonthrone took the opportunity to raise funds for Macmillan.
He posed in a green wig to promote his latest efforts, which will see him run from Loch Ness in the Highlands, to Paris, in France.
Perth Farmers’ Market takes place on the first Saturday of every month and attracts customers from across Scotland.
