An MoT tester who was banned from driving blamed his slim figure for being more than twice the legal limit for alcohol.
Tyler Abbot claimed his 9st body had failed to process alcohol from the night before at the same rate as the average person who would weigh more.
The 29-year-old, from Milne Street, Perth, was banned from the road for 18 months and will face losing his job after he was caught drunk at the wheel on October 16.
He was also ordered to carry out 70 hours of unpaid work after the court heard he was stopped at 8.25am on Dunkeld Road and found to be smelling of alcohol.
Sheriff Christopher Shead gave him the chance to reduce his ban by completing a rehabilitation course.
