Vintage railway posters that were found in a loft have sold at auction in Dundee for £22,000.
The images feature scenes from right across Courier Country, including the Forth Bridge and Perth, as well as scenes from the rest of the UK and beyond.
One poster of the Forth Bridge sold for £1,300.
Another, which describes Perth as Scotland’s “Holiday Centre”, went under the hammer for £300.
The prints, believed to date back to the 1920s or 1930s, were discovered languishing in a loft during a house clearance in Stirling.
Steven Dewar, from Curr and Dewar auctioneers, who sold the posters, said the sale had gone incredibly well and had attracted widespread interest.
“The posters sold very well £22,000 in total,” he said. “Buyers from all over the UK either travelled to us or booked phone lines to bid.
“We had six phone lines in constant use. It was a great sale with a big crowd and a super result.”
