Couple’s wedding is in ruins and they couldn’t be happier

A scheming couple shocked their guests when they left their wedding in ruins.
Thankfully, it was all part of Dave and Laura Pack’s plan to ensure their special day went down in history.
The pair held their ceremony in the restored remains of a medieval chapel in the Carse of Gowrie.
As a youngster, Dave often played among the ruins at Westown and introduced his future wife to his secret lair when they started going out.
Laura said: “We said about five years ago we wanted to get married here and we weren’t even engaged then we just knew.”
Although the chapel fell out of use in 1800, a team from Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust undertook work to conserve the building in 2007, clearing it of ivy.
After gaining permission from Perth and Kinross Council, Dave and Laura kept the venue a secret from their guests, who only realised what was happening when the bus pulled up at Westown.
Malcolm Hill, from the council’s estates team described the request as “unusual” but said it was “a pleasure” to help the couple.
