It is understood that the 40-year-old man, whose identity is unknown, was injured on a farm in the rural Kinross area.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and worked to stem the flow of blood before taking him to hospital in Larbert. The man survived the incident and is understood to have left hospital.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We responded to a patient with an injury to his throat and they were transported by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.”
A spokeswoman for Forth Valley NHS confirmed the man was no longer a patient.
