Teenager appears in court after Perth city centre incident

A Perth teenager appeared in private at Perth Sheriff Court today following a major police incident in the city.
Kieran Phillips, 19, of Greyfriars Hostel, Princes Street, faces charges including:That he smashed a first-floor window from inside the room, showering the street below with broken glass, threw pieces of ceramic sink, pieces of glass, a fridge and a fridge door out of the window on to the street below with utter disregard for the safety of the public. That on the same date and address he smashed a sink, causing water to flood the room and also flood the room below and smashed a double-glazed window, and that he threw an assortment of items at seven police officers in the street below. That on the same date at Perth Police HQ, he ripped an electric cable from a CCTV camera.The offences are alleged to have happened on Thursday.
He made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
