Classic Cosworth expected to attract big money at Errol motor auction

A rare Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is just one of many cars that will go under the hammer this weekend at a classic vehicle auction in the Carse of Gowrie.

More than 200 entries of classic cars, lorries, motorbikes and tractors will be listed for auction at the Morris Leslie Vehicle Auctions Quarterly Classic Vehicle Auction, which will take place on Saturday at Errol Airfield from 11am.

The Cosworth one of two for sale on the day was exported to Spain in 2008 to join the private collection of racing car driver Jose Angel Padilla Ortiz.

The car is one of the inconic models of the 1980s and is expected to reach between £60,000 to £65,000.

Other highlights will include a 1959 Jaguar XK150, a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette and a 1966 Mercedes Benz 230SL.

The Jaguar has a guide price of £45,000 to £50,000 with lots of interest already been shown in it.
