Copter called to House of Bruar after car park falls

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) was called to the House of Bruar shopping complex near Pitlochry after two people fell in separate incidents.
Both were transported to Perth Royal Infirmary after Thursday’s incidents.
Patrick Birkbeck, managing director at House of Bruar, said: “A gentleman fell over while walking across the lower car park. We phoned the emergency services.
“Because the ambulance was busy, the air ambulance was activated and came. An ambulance then arrived and looked after the gentleman.
“There were also two first aiders on site, who did an absolutely excellent job.
“Just as that was happening, a lady fell over in the gravel car park and, because the air ambulance was still there, it was used to transport her.”
A spokesman for SCAA said: “It was straightforward but it was in the middle of nowhere so, obviously, we were needed to transport people quickly.”
