A man understood be in his 70s was taken to hospital today to be treated for a suspected broken leg following a fall at a Perthshire beauty spot. The incident happened around 12.20pm at The Hermitage, near Dunkeld. A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call about a male aged in his 70s who had fallen and had a suspected broken leg. “A local ambulance attended along with a basics doctor from Dunkeld as we were also dealing with a road accident on the A9 at the same time. “Due to the terrain we also requested the assistance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. “The man was taken by ambulance to Perth Royal Infirmary with a suspected broken leg.” A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they sent one appliance from Dunkeld to help at the scene.
