Video game icon Pac-Man is the inspiration for an exhibition at Perth Concert Hall.
Scots artist Theresa Pickles has created a video, wall and light installation at the venue, blending foreboding images of landscapes with the design of the 1980s game.
Entitled Pac-Man at Large, it opened on Monday and can be viewed in the Threshold artspace until Saturday May 17.
Theresa said: “When we walk through landscapes, we listen to music through headphones, capture images on our cameras and talk on our phones.
“The exhibition comments on the changing face of urban landscapes, increasing industrialisation and the impact of digital media on the world around us.”
Horsecross Arts creative director for contemporary art, Iliyana Nedkova, said: “Pac-Man is often credited with being a landmark in video game history.
“Fast forward to 2014 and Theresa employs this iconic game as a metaphor and a licence for playful creativity while commenting on the tradition of landscape art.”
Pac-Man at Large can be enjoyed throughout the hall’s opening hours but there will also be special tours at 2pm after the lunchtime concerts on Mondays March 3, 24 and 31 and Monday April 21.
