Police are hunting for a driver who crashed through the wall of a Perth business before fleeing the scene in his badly damaged car.
The only clue to the early-morning incident at James Barclay Carpets and Furnishings, Glasgow Road, is that it was a silver car pieces of the vehicle were left strewn around.
“I got a phone call from the police this morning saying that a car had crashed right through the wall surrounding the car park,” said business owner Jimmy Barclay.
“They crashed and then disappeared.”
The incident was reported to police at about 6.40am after debris from the two foot wall hit the store windows, setting off the alarm.
Police Scotland said they are investigating the incident and anyone with information should contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
