A worker at a Highland Perthshire holiday park made “dirty” remarks to young teenage girls, including posting an inappropriate message on a social network site, Perth Sheriff Court has heard.
Derek Marsh, 44, of Hopetoun Place, Glasgow, made a series of suggestive comments to the girls aged 14 and 15 at Tummel Valley Holiday Park, Tummel Bridge, where he worked as a barman and also helped repair bikes.
Depute fiscal Rebecca Kynaston told the court that on one occasion Marsh served one of the girls juice at the bar in the caravan park but dropped money she had given him.
“The girl questioned why the accused did this and he told her it was so he could see her bend over,” Ms Kynaston said.
“On another occasion, Marsh told one of the girls to come into his caravan and he would show her he was not gay.”
The court heard that Marsh fondled the breasts of one of the girls, who felt this was “creepy”.
Ms Kynaston told the court that Marsh later made “dirty” remarks to the girls, providing details of his sexual relations with a woman he had been with.
The depute fiscal also said he had asked one girl to leave her underwear as a “going away” present, which she found “weird”.
“The accused told one girl she had a really nice bum and to wear a short skirt,” she added.
“He then posted a message to one girl on the Facebook site, which was discovered by her parents, who then notified the police.”
On Tuesday, Marsh admitted that between May 1 and September 1 at Tummel Holiday Park, Tummel Bridge, Pitlochry, he made sexually explicit comments to a teenage girl.
He also admitted that he made sexually explicit remarks to another teenage girl at the holiday park between August 30 and September 1 and fondled her breasts.
Marsh pleaded guilty to a further charge, that on September 9 he posted a sexually explicit message to a teenage girl on a social networking site.
Sentence was deferred until January 15 for background reports and Marsh was placed on the sex offenders register in the meantime.
