But now, three years after it was first put on the market, the Whitehouse has now been sold at a fraction of its original £8 million asking price. The mansion, in the grounds of Gleneagles Hotel and Gold Resort, was advertised as having its own pool, gym and cinema. The 13,000 square foot mansion was finally sold by estate agents Savills sold in August last year for a relatively paltry £861,888. It had been marketed at offers over £750,000. However, the dream home may not be such a bargain after all. It requires fitting out and completion and the only images available on Savill’s websiteare CGI images of how the completed building should look.
