A woman threatened to cut off her ex-partner’s penis after she claimed he bombarded her with phone calls and text messages.
Page Owens, 36, of Daleally Crescent, Errol, told Perth Sheriff Court that she “snapped” after the man who she claimed had proposed to her made 50 phone calls and around 200 texts “every single day” and even phoned her at 4am one morning.
She said the man had also sent suggestive photographs of himself.
“He wouldn’t leave me alone,” she said. “I was the one who ended the relationship as I couldn’t handle it. I snapped as it was constant.”
Depute fiscal Stuart Richardson said the pair embarked on an affair, with the man’s partner then finding out.
“The man then decided to bring the relationship to an end,” he said. “Following this, she sent a message to the man saying. ‘I am going to cut your penis off’ during a phone call.”
Owens admitted that on May 11 last year at an address in Main Street, Errol, she sent a message that threatened a man with violence.
Sentence was deferred until April 10.
