History fans will be able to enjoy a rare look at hidden treasures from The Black Watch Castle and Museum’s collection thanks to the generosity of a local group.
The Friends of The Black Watch Castle and Museum have provided funding for up to three exhibitions a year, including touring displays of artefacts and archival materials from the reserve collections.
“The aim of the Friends organisation is to support the museum to maintain the legacy of The Black Watch,” said secretary Leanor Blackhall.
“We have almost 300 Friends who have committed their support in achieving this aim.
“We are delighted to be in a position to fund these exhibitions and plan to do many more joint projects with the museum in the future.”
The partnership was marked with a special presentation.
Since it reopened last year, the museum has staged two exhibitions the first featured a selection of artwork from the reserve collections, while the current display showcases examples of weapons.
