Detectives investigating an alleged assault on a Perth-bound train have arrested a 25-year-old man.
British Transport Police earlier this week released CCTV footage of two men they wanted to question in connection with reports that a 20-year-old woman was attacked on the Aberdeen-Perth service in July.
The men were also wanted in connection with an incident of alleged racial and abusive behaviour.
A force spokesman confirmed that a man had been arrested and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
“Members of the public and the media are thanked for their assistance in this matter,” he said.
Enquiries to trace the second man are continuing.
