A Perth man caught with more than a kilogram of cannabis will be sentenced next month.
John White, 60, was traced by police officers after they were called to an unrelated incident in New Row on Hogmanay 2012.
Depute fiscal Nicola Gillespie told Dundee Sheriff Court that after White was booked in at the charge bar, a plastic bag was taken from him.
He was searched and officers recovered £2,000 in cash wrapped in clingfilm with a further £418 found in his trousers. Cannabis with a potential value of £2,865 was found in the plastic bag.
White told officers the drugs were his and he sold them for profit.
White, a prisoner at Perth, admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis resin at New Row between October 1 2012 and December 31 2012.
Sentence was deferred by Sheriff Elizabeth Munro until April 21.
